Privacy Policy

Who we are
RoboThink, LLC ("RoboThink," "we," "us") runs myrobothink.com and the RoboThink online store. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
RoboThink programs are offered through local franchises in many countries. Each franchise is independently owned and operated. When you contact us or sign up for a class, we share your information with the franchise that serves your area so they can help you.
RoboThink is responsible for the information collected through this website and our systems. Your local franchise is also responsible for how it uses your information to run its programs. Some franchises outside the United States may have their own privacy notice that follows local law. If you are not sure who to contact, write to us and we will make sure your request reaches the right place.
This policy covers our website, our forms, class registration, the kit store, and parent accounts. It does not cover other websites we link to.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us, and a small amount of technical information when you use the site.
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Contact and birthday party forms | Name, email, phone (optional on most forms), country, city, state or province, postal code, your message, how you heard about us, party date and time of day |
| Class registration (parent or guardian) | Parent name, email, phone, location, child's name and date of birth, emergency contacts, people allowed to pick up the child, and agreement choices (refund, participation, and the optional photo release) |
| Kit store | Name, email, phone, shipping address, and order details |
| Payments | Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number. |
| Job applications | Name, email, phone, location, the role you want, your message, and your resume |
| Partnership and franchise inquiries | Name, organization, email, phone, location, and details about your interest |
| Parent accounts | Name, email, and login details |
| Using the website | Basic technical details like IP address, browser type, device, and error logs, used to keep the site working and secure |
If you leave out optional information, you can still use the forms.
Sensitive information: We do not ask for sensitive information like health details, religion, or ethnicity. If a parent chooses to tell us about a child's needs, such as an allergy, we use it only to keep the child safe in class, share it only with the staff who need it, and treat it with extra care.
Your location: Our Find a Class page can use your device's location to show nearby classes, but only if you click "Use my current location" and allow it. This is off unless you turn it on, and we use it only for that search.
Children's privacy
Children do not create accounts or log in to RoboThink. A parent or guardian gives us any information about a child, usually when signing them up for a class.
Our website and forms are meant for adults. If you are under 18, or under the adult age where you live, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. When a parent or guardian registers a child, they confirm they have the right to share the child's information and agree to its use as described here.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you think a child has sent us information, email info@myrobothink.com and we will delete it.
We use a child's information only to run their classes and keep them safe, such as knowing who can pick them up. Parents can ask to see, correct, or delete their child's information at any time.
How we use information
We use your information to:
- Answer your questions and requests
- Connect you with the RoboThink franchise near you
- Sign children up for classes, camps, and parties, and run them safely
- Process payments, refunds, and kit orders, and ship kits
- Review job, partnership, and franchise applications
- Send emails about your registration, order, or request
- Send news and offers, but only if you said yes
- Keep the site secure, fix problems, and improve our services
- Follow the law and protect our rights
We use class photos only if the parent agreed to the photo release.
We do not use your information to make automatic decisions about you that have legal or similarly important effects.
Our legal reasons for using information
Some laws require us to explain why we are allowed to use your information. We rely on these reasons:
| Reason | Examples |
|---|---|
| To provide what you asked for | Registering a child, running classes, processing payments, shipping kits, answering your message |
| Your consent | Marketing emails, the optional photo release, and any future analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time. |
| Our legitimate interests | Keeping the site secure, preventing fraud, improving our programs, and connecting you with your local franchise. We only do this when it does not outweigh your rights. |
| Legal duties | Keeping tax and payment records, and responding to lawful requests |
| Safety | Protecting children in our programs, such as using emergency contacts and pickup lists |
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.
We share information only with:
- Your local RoboThink franchise: so they can answer you, run your child's classes, or review your application. Franchises are independently owned.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the site, such as website hosting, data storage, email delivery, payment processing, and AI tools that help our staff with tasks like writing and organizing information. They may only use your information to provide their service to us, must keep it secure, and may not use it for their own purposes.
- The law: when required by law, or to protect the safety of children, families, staff, or the public.
- A business change: if RoboThink is sold or merges with another company, your information may move with the business. This policy would still apply.
Marketing emails and your choices
We send news, offers, and class updates only if you check the box on one of our forms. The box always starts unchecked.
You can stop these emails any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, or by writing to info@myrobothink.com.
Even if you unsubscribe, we may still send emails you need, like registration confirmations, receipts, and class changes.
Cookies and tracking tools
Today we only use the small files and browser storage the site needs to work, like keeping items in your cart and keeping you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
If we add tools like website analytics or advertising pixels in the future, we will update this policy first. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your permission before turning them on, and you will be able to say no.
Do Not Track and privacy signals: Because we do not track you across other websites or sell or share your information for advertising, there is nothing for these browser signals to turn off today. If that changes, we will honor signals like Global Privacy Control where the law requires it.
Storage, security, and how long we keep information
Where it's stored: Your information is stored on secure servers in the United States. If you live outside the US, your information will be sent to and stored in the US, and shared with your local franchise in your country. Privacy laws in the US may be different from yours. When the law requires it, we use protections for these transfers, such as standard contract terms approved by privacy regulators, or we ask for your consent.
Security: We limit who can see your information. For example, resumes are kept in private storage that only approved staff can open. No system is perfectly safe, but we work to protect your information.
How long we keep it: We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy, or as long as the law requires. For example, payment and tax records must be kept for a number of years. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
If something goes wrong: If a security problem puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the right authorities when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the information we have about you or your child, and give you a copy
- Fix information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law
- Limit or stop how we use your information, or object to it
- Send your information to you or another company in a common format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, such as for marketing emails or the photo release
- Stop sending you marketing emails
These rights apply no matter where you live. Your local laws may give you even more rights, and we will follow them.
How to make a request: Email info@myrobothink.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will reply within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires it. Making a request is free, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Someone acting for you: You can have an authorized person make a request for you. We may ask for proof that they are allowed to act for you.
If we say no: If we deny your request, we will explain why. You can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer your appeal within 60 days, or sooner if your local law requires it.
If you are not happy with our answer: You can complain to the privacy or data protection authority in your country. We would like the chance to help first, so please contact us.
If you live in Quebec
We follow Quebec's privacy law. Our Privacy Officer, listed under "Contact us," is the person in charge of protecting personal information. Before we send personal information outside Quebec, including to our systems in the United States, we check that it will be properly protected and put written agreements in place. Features that could locate or profile you are off unless you turn them on. You can also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec. A French version of this policy is available.
Other websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as a local franchise's own site. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top. If the changes are big, we will tell you on our website or by email, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
This policy is available in English and French, and both versions have equal value. If we offer it in another language and there is a difference, the English version applies, unless your local law says otherwise.
